Mind-wandering to a trip to Vegas from many years past. I hurried past the Vince Neil Tattoo Shop inside O’Shea’s, and past an ancient stone reader, who was waving me in. I fought through the Bosnian crowd dancing to DJ Mika as she spun “PYT (Pretty Young Thing)” to her adoring fans. Down many corridors and up two escalators into the hidden recesses of Harrah’s and finally into a raucous Toby Keith’s Bar & Grill. Didn’t pause for cowgirl specialty shots. Went straight to the back and found my place among the small but Faithful contingent dressed in black. And, to my surprise, I wound up getting a tattoo after all.
